The fight card for UFC on Versus 6 has just gotten better.

UFC officials have confirmed a heavyweight bout between the 6-foot-11 Stefan Struve (21-5 MMA, 5-3 UFC) and Pat Barry (6-3 MMA, 3-3 UFC).

Struve, who is the tallest fighter in the UFC, will have a one-foot height advantage over his opponent.

UFC on Versus takes place October 1 at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C.  The main card, which will air on Versus, will be headlined by a bantamweight championship bout between title-holder Dominick Cruz and challenger Demetrious Johnson.

Struve will look to rebound from a first-round knockout loss to fast-rising Travis Browne.  Prior to the loss, "Skyscraper" put together back-to-back wins over Christian Morecraft and Sean McCorkle.  Struve's only other Octagon losses have come to top-ranked Junior dos Santos and Roy Nelson.

Barry will also look to bounce back after a first-round knockout loss.  After delivering a barrage of punches to Cheick Kong and dropping him on multiple occasions, Barry was knocked out cold in one of the most dramatic comeback performances in UFC history.  With the loss, "HD" is only 2-3 in his last five bouts.

Struve vs. Barry will likely be a part of the night's main card.  And with the addition, the main card appears to be complete:

Bantamweight championship bout: Dominick Cruz (c) vs. Demetrious Johnson

Welterweight bout: Anthony Johnson vs. Charlie Brenneman

Lightweight bout: Matt Wiman vs. Mac Danzig

Heavyweight bout: Stefan Struve vs. Pat Barry
