A pair of intriguing bouts have been added to the UFC's third event on FOX.

UFC officials have confirmed a featherweight bout between Dennis Bermudez (7-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) and Pablo Garza (11-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) and a bantamweight bout between Johnny Bedford (18-9-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC) and Nick Dennis (11-2 MMA, 1-0 UFC) for the May event.

"UFC on FOX 3" takes place at New Jersey's IZOD Center in East Rutherford on May 5.  Headlining the event is a lightweight bout between Nate Diaz and Jim Miller.  Main card bouts will air on FOX, with preliminary bouts likely airing on FUEL TV.

Bermudez will look to snap a three-fight skid.  After winning his first seven professional fights, "The Menace" then lost back-to-back bouts via submission before becoming a member of  season 14 of "The Ultimate Fighter."  After making it to the finals, he was submitted by show-winner Diego Brandao in a "Fight of the Night" performance.  Another loss will likely lead to his release from the promotion.

His opponent, Garza will also look to rebound from a recent loss.  Garza burst onto the UFC scene in spectacular form.  After knocking out Fredson Paixao with a flying knee in the first-ever UFC featherweight fight, "The Scarecrow" followed that up with a flying-triangle choke over Yves Jabouin.  Both victories earned Garza a "Fight Night" bonus.  However, in his most recent bout, Garza was submitted by highly-ranked Dustin Poirier at "UFC on FOX 1."

Also a member of "TUF 14", Beford will be looking for his third straight win.  After seeing back-and-forth success in local circuits, Bedford was then cast as a member of the popular reality show.  "Brutal" was knocked out in the semi-finals by eventual-show winner John Dodson.  He then made his official UFC debut and picked up a TKO victory over Louis Gaudinot.  He was expected fo fight Mitch Gagnon at "UFC on FOX 2", but Gagnon pulled out just days before the fight.

Dennis will also be looking to build off a successsful UFC debut.  "The Ninja of Love" needed just 22 seconds to stop Joseph Sandoval.  The flurry of elbows earned Dennis the "Knockout of the Night" bonus for the event.  The win was his second straight.

Both bouts will be a part of the night's preliminary card.
