Asia's great MMA promotion, One Fighting Championships has managed to put together a stellar headline for their third event, which will go down in Singapore on March 31st. In a classic grappler vs striker matchup, longtime veterans Renato "Babalu" Sobral and Melvin Manhoef will go head to head in a light-heavyweight bout that will bring excitement and cheers to Asian MMA fans especially with a shiny new 10 year deal with ESPN STAR, the Eastern world's largest sports broadcast channel.

Neither fighter has been at the top of his game lately with Manhoef coming off a decision loss to the great Tyrone Spong just last weekend for It's Showtime under K1 kickboxing rules, marking his third straight kickboxing loss. His MMA career is looking no better with three straight losses to Robbie Lawler, Tatsuya Mizuno and Tim Kennedy but the fact that he comes to bang everytime whether he wins or loses keeps him fresh in the minds of fans.

Sobral was unable to fight for the entire year of 2011 due to a shoulder injury and signed an exclusive deal with One FC this past December. The Brazilian BJJ wizard is 1-2 in his last three bouts, losing his last by KO to Dan Henderson in late 2010. The winner of this fight will be the man who can impose his style on the other and take the fight where it needs to be to put their strengths to good use.

The full One FC 3 card has not been officially announced but will be co-headlined by undefeated Filipino fighter Kevin Belingon (9-0-0) who will take on Japanese veteran Masakazu Imanari and features names like Eduard Folayang, Zorobabel Moreira and Hong Kong phenom Eddie Ng.
