The 2012 Big Air finals brought together some of the worlds best who ever strapped on a snowboard. The contest included Seppe Smits, Eric Willett, Torstein Horgmo, Sebastien Toutant, and Mark McMorris. The crown was almost as massive as the air these snowboarders were getting. Cheering on all competitors who dropped in to an 80 foot step up jump in hopes to win the prestige of wining an X Games gold medal. On this night it was first time gold medal winner Mark McMorris who landed the first ever tipple cork in the X Games. It was close competition for McMorris who had Torstein Horgmo was giving him a run for his money earning a perfect score of 50. However, his overall score was only enough for the silver.
