"Work out of the Day" 1-2-12

For the new year, our goal is to do some kind of activity everyday.  If we can maintain a healthy life style balanced with proper nutrition and exercise we will always have that edge when preparing for a competition. Try to make sure 25 minutes of something is done everyday. Whether it be power walking, regular walking, taking light jog at lunch or first thing the morning, all these activities are fine. Taking the stairs instead of the elevator at work can help keep you active on off days, works great too.  

These little "Workout of the Days" are going to be for those busy athletes who say they don't have time to make it to the gym. Almost all of the "WOD's" can be done on an hour lunch break and done at your home with little equipment.

1-3 mile run or 20 minutes of shadow boxing

200 body weight squats 

200 pull ups 

30 pull ups 

75 hanging knee raises
